The Red Cross is having a blood drive in honor of Kacie. Please plan to
participate in the blood drive by giving the gift of life. There are so many
people in need of blood. Kacie has been fortunate that there are lots of
generous people who have given blood, especially since she has needed blood
products daily.
In order for the Red Cross to supply enough personnel and supplies, it
would be helpful if anyone wanting to donate could send an email
to shirley@widomaker.com with your name and phone number,
or they could call Shirley Crockett at 898-6155 and leave a message.
"Smiles & Giggles", a cookbook compiled by Kacie's grandmother, contains many recipes sure to please kids, young and not-so-young. The cost is $10.00; add $2.75 for shipping and handling. Make your check for $12.75 payable to American Funds, and in the memo section write in "Kacie's Cookbook". There will be a Car Wash to benefit the Kacie Goodwin Fund on Saturday, August 25, at the Wendy's restuarant in Grafton from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. The kids from from St. Luke's Sunday school (5th-8th grade) are ready to make your car or truck sparkle! This was originally scheduled for the 18th, but was postponed due to the stormy weather.

The kids who attend school with Kacie are having a Bowl-a-thon at AMF York Lanes (4200 George Washington Highway). First shift is at 12:00 and the second shift is at 3:00. We will need to know which shift you plan to attend. The children will bowl three games each. The cost is $6.00 per child. Pledges can be made per pin, per game, or as a straight donation.
